Welcome to https://www.anec.qa (the “Website” or “Site”). Please read these terms and conditions (the "Terms") before using the Website which is operated by Anecdote Trading. By using this website, you are acknowledging that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Anec. is a verified supplier from the Qatari Ministry of Economic of Commerce, and is registered under the reference number (138379).

As part of our operations, we need to obtain and process information. This information includes any data that makes a person identifiable such as names, addresses, usernames and passwords, and financial data. We would like to assure you that the personal data obtained is treated with high confidentially.

In order to make purchases on our Site you will be required to provide your personal details. In particular, you must provide your real name, phone number, e-mail address and other requested information as indicated. Furthermore, you will be required to provide payment details that you represent and warrant are both valid and correct and you confirm that you are the person referred to in the Billing information provided.

The Site is available only to individuals and others who meet Anec. terms of eligibility, who have been issued a valid credit/debit card by a bank acceptable to Anec., whose applications are acceptable to Anec., and who have authorized Anec., to process a charge or charges on their credit/debit card in the amount of the total purchase price for the merchandise which they purchase. Products purchased by the buyer are for personal or gift use and should not be re-sold, used for commercial purposes or any other commercial benefit. In addition, Anec. reserves the right to restrict multiple quantities of an item being shipped to any one customer or postal address.

By making an offer to purchase merchandise you expressly authorize us to perform credit checks and where Anec. feels necessary, to transmit or to obtain information (including any updated information) about you to or from third parties, including but not limited to your credit/debit card number or credit reports (including credit reports for your spouse if you reside in a community property jurisdiction), to authenticate your identity, to validate your credit/debit card, to obtain an initial credit/debit card authorization and to authorize individual purchase transactions.

No commercial use

This Site is for your personal non-commercial use only. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, commercially exploit, create derivative works from, transfer, data mine or sell any Content, software, products, or services contained within this Site. You may not use this Site, or any of its Content, to further any commercial purpose, including any advertising or advertising revenue generation activity on your own Site.

We may include hyperlinks on this Site to other websites or resources operated by parties other than Anec., including advertisers. Anec. has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its Web Site and is not responsible for the content or accuracy of any off-site pages nor are we responsible for the availability of such external websites or resources, and do not endorse and are not responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for the privacy practices or the content of such websites, including (without limitation) any advertising, products or other materials or services on or available from such websites or resources, nor for any damage, loss or offence caused or alleged to be caused by, or in connection with, the use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on such external websites or resources.

We are not responsible for the content of any off-Site pages or any other sites linked to or from the Site. Links appearing on the Site are for convenience only and are not an endorsement by us, our affiliates or our partners of the referenced content, product, service, or supplier. Your linking to or from any off-Site pages or other Sites is at your own risk. DELIVERY

ANEC. offers worldwide shipping in partnership with DHL. The servicer provided offers you the flexibility to make changes to your delivery while it’s on its way to you using DHL On Demand Delivery (ODD). Whether you need to schedule a delivery for another day or remove the signature requirement, ODD makes it easy for you. Once your (Anecdote) is dispatched and is with DHL, they will contact you via SMS and/or email to let you know when to expect the delivery. If ODD is available in your location, this message will also contain a link to the ODD site. All you need is your tracking (shipment waybill) number.

Our delivery time starts from the moment an order is accepted and includes a 24-hour period where your items will be processed and dispatched. Please note, this can take longer during official holidays.

Once your order has left us, you’ll receive an email with your tracking information so you can follow its progress.

Before we can dispatch your purchase, we may need to confirm your details with your card issuer. We’ll do our best to keep delays to a minimum.

We work closely with our shipping partners to minimize the potential impact of customs delays.

Once you have made your choice and your order has been placed, you will receive an email acknowledging the details of your order. This email is NOT an acceptance of your order, just a confirmation that we have received it.

Unless you cancel your order, acceptance of your order and completion of the contract between you and Anec. will be completed when we email you to confirm the order have been dispatched. The sale contract is therefore concluded in Doha, Qatar and the language of the contract is English. Neither our third party payment processor nor our nominated courier has the authority to accept an order on behalf Anec.

We reserve the right not to accept your order in the event, for example, that we are unable to obtain authorization for payment, that shipping restrictions apply to a particular item, that the item ordered is out of stock or does not satisfy our quality control standards and is withdrawn.

To cancel your order after it has been dispatched to you, you will need to follow the Returns Policy & Procedure. If you require any information regarding your order(s) please contact Customer Services via the email address: sales@anec.qa.

All prices indicated for products available via the Site are inclusive of VAT at the current rates and are excluded of delivery charges. The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered in addition to any delivery and shipping charges.

We accept the following forms of payment for online purchases:

Please note, all credit or debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorize payment, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

RETURNS POLICY & PROCEDURE

If for any reason you are not entirely satisfied, you have a legal right to return the order at any time up to the end of 14 days after you receive the products.

To exercise your right of cancellation, you must give a written notice to us at the postal address or email address sales@anec.qa. Please note that all products must be returned in a saleable condition, meaning that they must be unused and in their original packaging with any security seals still intact. We reserve the right to consider the condition of any product that you wish to return and make any deduction if there are indications that the products, its packaging, its security seals have been used, removed, broken or tampered with. Please note that your right to cancel or return a product does not apply to unsealed fragrances which have been opened, tested or partially used.

Once your order has left us, you’ll receive an email with your tracking information so you can follow its progress.

Refunds Within 14 days of us receiving your order back by post, or receiving proof that your order was returned to us, we will refund you the original purchase price. Please note that we shall not refund the original delivery charge or any local customs duties charged to you at checkout and paid to a local customs authority. Refunds will be made back to the same card used to pay for the order.

COMPETITIONS AND PRIZES

These rules apply to all competitions (including prize draws and offers)

  1. ANEC. might run competitions on this site and its social media channels. These may be subject to additional terms that will be made available at the time.
  2. Competitions (including prize draws) are open to all residents of the Qatar, except employees of Anec., the promoter and their immediate families and anyone else connected with the creation and administration of the promotion.
  3. Prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
  4. ANEC. reserves the right to substitute the prize for another prize of equal value.
  5. By participating in the competition and entering the prize draw, the entrant agrees to be bound by the rules and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material accompanying the promotion.
  6. By participating and entering to the competition, the entrant agrees to the terms of our Privacy Policy.
  7. Winners will be notified by e-mail or direct message within the stated timeframe or else 1 month after the end of the promotion. The winner has 5 business/working days to respond in full to the e-mail to claim the prize or another winner will be drawn.
  8. By participating and entering to the competition, the winner(s) consent to any publicity generated as a result of the promotion, and use on websites, magazines or mobile services at any time.
  9. Only 1 entry per person will be taken into account (spammers will be disqualified).
  10. ANEC. will not accept responsibility for loss through technical fault or incomplete, illegible or other damaged entries. Proof of entry is not automatically proof of receipt.
